More South Pars platforms awaiting delivery

TEHRAN, Iran – The main topsides for the B13 platform and D13 satellite platform have been loaded at the Iran Marine Industrial Co. (SADRA) Bushehr yard for delivery to the Phase 13 complex on the South Pars field.

According to Pars Oil and Gas Co. official Payam Motamed, speaking to news service Shana, the 2,200-ton structures were loaded onto theFLB 124 barge.

Each of the platforms is designed to produce 500 MMcf/d of gas.

In a separate Shana report, Iran plans to add 3 bcf/d to its daily production capacity by launching new South Pars phases by early 2019.

Deputy director of Development and Engineering at National Iranian Oil Co. Ghomareza Manouchehri said multiple activities were in progress at the Bushehr yard, with 10 platforms nearing completion for phases 22 to 24 and 13 and 14.

The extra gas should flow this winter, covering all Iran’s gas needs, he added.

By March 21, all the platforms at the yard should have been delivered to their designated offshore spots, with six phases of the gas field coming onstream, boosting the country’s daily production capacity by 6 bcf.
