SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Eni has brought onstream a new production well in the Vandumbu field in the West Hub of block 15/06, offshore Angola.
Start-up of the VAN-102 well, which followed start-up of the second subsea multi-phase boosting system, occurred through theN’Goma FPSO at an initial rate of around 13,000 b/d.
Vandumbu started production last November, three months ahead of schedule, and development should be completed in the current quarter when a water injection well becomes operational.
This, combined with start-up of another production well on the Mpungi field, will lift output from block 15/06 to around 170,000 boe/d.
Eni’s partners are Sonangol P&P and SSI Fifteen.
