GODALMING, UK – Hook-up of the buoy to the FPSO for the Lancaster oilfieldwest of Shetland is taking longer than planned.

During operations last Friday, the rope used to pull in the buoy became snagged, forcing operator Hurricane Energy to suspend the program.

The rope has since been freed and the buoy returned to its starting position, but with bad weather forecast, theFPSOAoka Mizu has returned to the Cromarty Firth in northeast Scotland for remediation work on the buoy pull-in system and to prepare for the next opportunity to complete the work offshore.
