Mooring operations under way at Lancaster west of Shetland

Well completion operations have finished for the Lancaster oil field early production system west of Shetland, according to operator Hurricane Energy.

GODALMING, UK – Well completion operations have finished for the Lancaster oil field early production system west of Shetland, according to operator Hurricane Energy.

The semisubmersiblePaul B. Loyd Jr. has now left the field. Both production wells for the development are ready to be tied-in to the subsea infrastructure.

Installation is in progress of themooring system for the FPSO and will be followed by the SURF (subsea umbilical riser and flowline) program.

Both should be completed prior to arrival of the FPSO at the field, with first oil targeted for 1H 2019.
