MELBOURNE, Australia – Cue Energy Resources says the Paus Biru-1 exploration well offshore Indonesia has reached TD of 710 m (2,329 ft) MD.

This was deeper than the planned depth and was due to formation observations.

According to the company, elevated gas readings were recorded through the primary Mundu formation target, and following interpretation of logging while drilling, a full suite of wireline logs will be run to further assess the interval.

The data should help determine the fluid content, hydrocarbon columns, and hydrocarbon saturation of possible reservoir intervals encountered, and potentially the permeability and producibility of these zones.

Ophir Energy operates the well in theSampang PSC.
