LARNACA, CyprusProsafe currently has four vessels/semisubmersibles under contract offshore.

The tender support vesselSafe Scandinavia is working for Statoil at Oseberg East in the Norwegian North Sea on a firm contract that runs through end-June.

TheSafe Notos started a three-year, 222-day contract last month for Petrobras off Brazil.

Elsewhere, theSafe Boreas is on a 13-month contract for Statoil at the Mariner installation in the UK northern North Sea, extendable by six one-month options.

TheSafe Zephyrus is due to start a 12-month firm contract with Statoil in mid-May.

Prosafe continues to work with COSCO to find a commercial solution for three completed but uncontracted vessels currently laid up at the Qidong shipyard in China.

TheSafe Eurus is in a preserved, strategic stacking mode, while the standstill agreement between the two companies related to the Safe Nova and Safe Vega has been extended until April 20.

The companies are in negotiations with associated parties for the vessels, but if no agreement results, Prosafe has the right to cancel the newbuild contracts for theSafe Nova and Safe Vega due to delays, and claim repayment of instalments paid including interest of around $60 million in total.

In March, Prosafe expects a ruling on the Westcon dispute regarding the TSVSafe Scandinavia.
