Bluestream starts inspection campaign in the southern North Sea

DEN HELDER, the NetherlandsONEgas has awarded Bluestream Offshore an ROV subsea structural inspection services contract.

The five-year plus two-year extension contract includessubsea inspection services for 69 of ONEgas’ offshore platforms and subsea completions in the southern North Sea, UK and Dutch sectors.

For this year’s campaign, the company is using Vroon Offshore Services’ subsea support vesselVOS Sugar. The DP-2 vessel is fitted with Bluestream’s own inspection system and fully equipped inspection class Seaeye Tiger ROV and the compact work class Seaeye Cougar XT ROV to perform the subsea structural inspections.

Each yearly campaign will last around 45 days and will be executed by a team of 20 people, onshore and offshore.

Adriaen Winckers, responsible for Business Development at Bluestream, said this is the company’s biggest contract to date.
