DALLAS – ONEgas has commissioned Jacobs Engineering Group to perform engineering services for the de-complexing of the K15-FA platform in the Dutch North Sea.

The client is a combined business unit ofShell UK Exploration & Production (Shell) and the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij. This is the first contract signed under a new enterprise framework agreement between ONEgas and Jacobs.

De-complexing involves transitioning K15-FA to an unmanned platform without gas treatment installations, as the gas will subsequently be treated on the centrally located K14 facility.

The program should allow ONEgas to reduce power consumption, operational costs, and improve safety management.
