ABERDEEN, UK – Pipe/process cleaning specialist Pipetech plans to expand its service for subsea equipment and wells, following the appointment of a new leadership team.

Eric Doyle, formerly with Aquaterra Energy, has been named managing director, while Alan Brunnen, former executive vice president at Aker Solutions, has joined as non-executive director.

An unnamed major operator has deployed the company’s deepwater cleaning system to clear a blockage in a subsea manifold the Norwegian North Sea.

Pipetech is also developing a new downhole well cleaning tool.
