HERTFORD, UKMcDermott International has contracted PJ Valves (PJV) and PJ Piping (PJP) to supply valves and piping elements for a development offshore Trinidad and Tobago.

This will feature an unmanned platform 60 km (37 mi) off the southeast coast in water depths of 65 m (213 ft), with first production anticipated in 2019.

PJV and PJP will manufacture more than 500 ball, gate and double block and bleed valves, and compact flanges from their facilities in Italy and India.

All the valves will be metal-seated to ensure durability against the gas field’s abrasive conditions.

The companies say they secured the contract in part due to their ability to meet the project’s short delivery schedules, with a turnaround time of less than six months.
