BEL delivers valves for two North Sea Triton subsea tiebacks
BEL Valves has supplied small bore needle valves and gate valves for Subsea7.
All have been installed in subsea equipment delivering production from the Belinda and Bittern oil fields in the central UK North Sea to the Triton FPSO operated by Dana Petroleum.
The new equipment should become operational early in 2026.
Earlier this year, BEL Valves supplied 11 actuated and 19 manual slab gate valves to bp’s Murlach oil field development in 93 m to 95 m of water in the same region. The valves, made from duplex and super duplex materials, featured local control panels, ranged in diameter from 2-12 inches and were designed to withstand up to 690 bar (API 10,000) pressure.
And this time last year, BEL announced it had been contracted by SubseaDesign to manufacture six subsea valves for a new pipeline in the German North Sea.
