TRONDHEIM, Norway -- Det norske oljeselskap is set to P&A an exploration well on the Langlitinden prospect in the Barents Sea. The well encountered oil with low mobility.
Well 7222/11-2 intersected the targeted oil-bearing channel sand in the Kobbe formation (Triassic). However, results from a mini-DST suggest poor reservoir properties.
The partner plans to assess the results and the impact on remaining prospectivity in the license.
