SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Burullus Gas Co. has contracted Saipem to develop the West Delta Deep Marine Phase IXa project in the Egyptian sector of the Mediterranean Sea.
The work scope comprises engineering, procurement, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning support of subsea facilities at a location 90 km (56 mi) offshore in theWest Delta Deep Marine concession, where Saipem has worked on earlier subsea development phases.
New facilities will include rigid and flexible flowlines, umbilicals, and other subsea structures to be installed in water depths up to 850 m (2,789 ft). Offshore work will be performed between 2Q and 4Q 2014.
Offshore Angola, Saipem has won an EPCI contract from an unnamed client to engineer, procure, fabricate, and install production and water injection pipelines and flowlines, rigid jumpers, and associated subsea structures.
Fabrication will be handled entirely by the company’s local yards in Ambriz and Soyo.
Installations will be performed between 2Q 2014 and 2Q 2015, in water depths ranging from 700-1,450 m (2,296-4,757 ft).
