Singapore-based Chartwell Marine has delivered the newbuild crew transfer vessel (CTV) Prosperous 6 to Pacific Radiance, an owner-operator of offshore wind vessels in the Asia-Pacific region.

During sea trials the vessel achieved a speed of more than 25 knots at 85% engine load, confirming its fuel-efficiency. Chartwell claims that at 20 knots, the ship used about 20% less fuel than others of a similar length. In another trial, it delivered more than 17 tonnes of bollard push.

The design’s light lightship displacement is said to accommodate payloads of up to 35 mt.

Chartwell has orders for four further Brevity class CTVs from offshore wind operators in the region.
