Viridien (formerly CGG) has announced a sale of its Sercel Marlin offshore logistics management technology to Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC), with the aims of enhancing operational efficiency and safety across its Western India offshore E&P operations.

The sale includes a five-year contract to provide ONGC with dedicated on-premises Sercel software and support services.

The Sercel Marlin tool will digitize and streamline ONGC’s complex offshore E&P logistics, and it is designed to increase situational awareness through real-time vessel tracking and boost efficiency in operational planning while also managing helicopter transit, according to Viridien.

Integration with ONGC’s ERP systems will also ensure efficient data exchange and decision-making. Moreover, Viridien said Marlin’s artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms will future-proof ONGC’s operations by further enhancing operational efficiency and planning.
