Strategic Marine secures offshore South Korea crew transfer vessel order

Yeosu Ocean Co has contracted Strategic Marine to construct a StratCat 27 Crew Transfer Vessel (CTV) for wind farm support technicians offshore South Korea.

The vessel, designed by BMT, is said to be an evolution of the StratCat 26, and tailored to the offshore conditions. It will be capable of incorporating multiple propulsion and engine options, with a larger asymmetric superstructure providing interior space for wide range of operational needs.

It will also feature certain electrical components that can be sourced locally, if change-outs are required.

The StratCat 27 CTV will provide accommodation for up to 24 passengers and three crew members.
