Aibel shipyard fully engaged in vessel overhauls

Six offshore vessels have docked this week at Aibel Haugesund on Norway’s west coast.

HAUGESUND, Norway – Six offshore vessels have docked this week at Aibel Haugesund on Norway’s west coast.

DeepOcean’s Deep Wave and Deep Investigator are undergoing upgrading/classification and demobilization, plus relatively low-level upgrades.

Others to arrive are theEdda Fides and Edda Fonn, owned by Østensjø, and Solstad’s Normand Oceanic, Edda Fonn, and Normand Oceanic will undergo crane upgrades while at the quayside.

Finally,Solstad’s Rem Poseidonhas arrived for various services, including a traditional hull surface treatment in the drydock.
With this compliment of six ships, the yard stay capacity is fully employed. Aibel adds that over the last few years it has experienced increased demand for ship maintenance services.
