Island Enforcer sails for Ormen Lange

Island Offshore has taken delivery of the subsea construction vessel Island Enforcer from Bergen Group, Lakevåg.

ULSTEINIK, Norway -- Island Offshore has taken delivery of the subsea construction vessel Island Enforcer from Bergen Group, Lakevåg. 

The vessel heads straight to a spot charter for Norske Shell for use on the Ormen Lange development in the Norwegian Sea, which will make use of the vessel’s subsea installation cranes and its new 200 hp Schilling ROVs.

Via NeoDrill, the vessel has also been contracted to perform “pre-rig” activity for Det Norske Oljeselskap at the Dovregubben 6305/9-2 well site in Norwegian license PL 468. This work comprises installation of a 6-m (19.7-ft) diameter, 12-m (39-ft) high can weighing 80 tons and a conductor.
