Atwood Southern Cross to drill offshore Tunisia

AuDAX Resources has awarded Atwood Oceanics a contract to use the rig Atwood Southern Cross for operations offshore Tunisia.

PERTH, Australia -- AuDAX Resources has awarded Atwood Oceanics a contract to use the rig Atwood Southern Cross offshore Tunisia.

The rig is contracted at a dayrate of $154,500 to drill one well plus one optional well. It is expected to go on dayrate during mobilization (around June 6), with drilling likely to start on June 15. The firm well should take around 40 days to complete.

AuDAX operates the Kerkouane and Dougga permit areas in the Sicily Channel between Tunisia and Italy.
