ATP has completed installation of the topsides modules on the drilling and production platform ATP Titan along with all 12 mooring lines, with an aim for first production in late first quarter of this year.

HOUSTON -- ATP has completed installation of the topsides modules on the drilling and production platform ATP Titan along with all 12 mooring lines, with an aim for first production in late first quarter of this year. Ocean Victory is completing the previously drilled well in Atwater Valley block 63 for connection to the platform. Three additional wells in Mississippi Canyon block 941 and 942 will be completed with a platform drilling rig.
Meanwhile, construction continues in China on the vessel hull of ATP’s Octabuoy designed to produce Cheviot in the North Sea. The hull block construction for the re-usable floating production facility is about 50% complete and remains on schedule for completion in 2011, ATP says. The octagonal ring pontoon is assembled and pontoon outfitting has been initiated. First production is expected in 2012.
