Shell extends Safe Astoria contract

Shell Philippines Exploration has exercised its $3.6-million, 30-day option, which in May, for the continued use of the Safe Astoria accommodation support rig at the Malampaya shallow water platform, offshore Philippines.

LARNACA, Cyprus -- Shell Philippines Exploration has exercised its $3.6-million, 30-day option, which in May, for the continued use of the Safe Astoria accommodation support rig at the Malampaya shallow water platform, offshore Philippines.

In addition, Prosafe has granted an additional 30-day option beginning in June if exercised.
