Aker Solutions to supply equipment for Noble drillships

Noble Corp. has awarded Aker Solutions a $14.7-million contract to provide a drilling equipment package, including derrick and pipe-handling components, for three Brazil-based drillships.

HOUSTON -- Noble Corp. has awarded Aker Solutions a $14.7-million contract to provide a drilling equipment package, including derrick and pipe-handling components, for three Brazil-based drillships.

The components will be delivered and installed as part of reliability upgrades of the Noble Leo Segerius, Noble Roger Eason, and Noble Murvalenko. First equipment deliveries are scheduled for early next year.
