Offshore staff
STAVANGER, Norway -- Seadrill has won a letter of intent for the jackup newbuild West Ariel. The one-year contract for drilling operations in the southeast Asia region is for $72 million, including mobilization fee.
West Ariel is under construction at KFELS in Singapore. Operation is expected to begin in 2Q 2008.
West Ariel is the fifth and final jackup delivered in the current program to Seadrill from its existing shipyard commitments.
