More than 20 workers drowned and several were missing after a collapsed gate flooded Dubai Drydock in United Arab Emirates on March 27. Preliminary death toll estimates were put at 50. There were reportedly less than 500 workers and five vessels in the dry dock at the time of the flood. The gate had been undergoing repairs since March 25. The cause of the accident was under investigation. The five vessels received "varying degrees of damage," according to Dubai Drydocks.
