Fugro expanding geotechnical vessel fleet

LEIDSCHENDAM, the Netherlands — Fugro has agreed to acquire the platform supply vessels Sea Goldcrest and Sea Gull, and it plans to start converting them to geotechnical vessels during 2024-25.

The vessels, built in 2019 and 2020 respectively, will address market demands for more specialist geotechnical-capable facilities, the company added.

Sea Gull is already under charter with Fugro. Both vessels are suited to conversion to low-carbon fuels, the company added.
