WESTHILL, UK — Eni has contracted Altera Infrastructure to re-deploy the FPSO Voyageur Spirit and the shuttle tanker Nordic Brasilia, following conversion to an FSO, at the deepwater Baleine Field development offshore Côte d'Ivoire.
Both vessels will be deployed for Baleine Phase 2 under a 15-year firm contract, with a planned startup in fourth-quarter 2024.
Voyageur Spirit and Nordic Brasilia are undergoing life extension works and field-specific modifications at Drydocks World in Dubai.
Voyageur Spirit, a cylindrical shaped FPSO, previously operated on the Huntington Field in the central UK North Sea until 2020.
FSO Nordic Brasilia will provide additional storage capacity to the FPSO.
Altera will own and operate both vessels.
