HELSINKI, Finland – The UAE’s National Petroleum Construction Co. (NPCC) has awarded Wärtsilä a renewed five-year maintenance agreement.

This covers seven offshore construction vessels with a focus on maximizing operational uptime, with flexibility in maintenance scheduling to support chartering arrangements.

The scope of the agreement includes provision of data-driven maintenance planning and round-the-clock remote operational support, including Wärtsilä’s Expert Insight service for predictive maintenance. Expert Insight combines artificial intelligence and advanced diagnostics to detect anomalous behavior in a vessel’s machinery. Through identification of potential failures and providing early indication of equipment deterioration, Wärtsilä specialists can remotely issue recommendations for preventing issues from occurring.
