DeepOcean charters multipurpose vessel for IMR, construction support

DeepOcean will take the Stril Server multipurpose support vessel on a two-year charter from Stavanger-based Simon Møkster Shipping.

OSLO, Norway  DeepOcean will take the Stril Server multipurpose support vessel on a two-year charter from Stavanger-based Simon Møkster Shipping.

The vessel will perform subsea inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR), light construction and recycling services for DeepOcean’s offshore oil and gas and renewable energy clients.

The charter starts in first-quarter 2023 with a firm hire period until the end of 2024. DeepOcean has the option to request the installation of a battery hybrid system onboard the vessel in 2024, in support of its target to reduce its CO2 emissions by 45% by 2030.

Stril Server will be equipped with two Kystdesign ROVs, with control provided from DeepOcean’s remote operations Center in Haugesund.
