KONGSBERG, Norway — Floatel International has signed up to Kongsberg Digital's F International’s digital infrastructure Vessel Insight service.
Floatel’s fleet of five semisubmersible accommodation and construction support vessels operates in the North Sea region and offshore Australia, Brazil and in the Gulf of Mexico.
The company has been working on reducing emissions and optimizing operations. With infrastructure Vessel Insight, which will be deployed on all five vessels, it aims to achieve better control and smarter solutions via digitalization.
“One of our main focus areas is data-driven decarbonization," said Alexander Östberg, technical manager with Floatel International. "We hope to get the most out of apps, such as Maress, and will hopefully get better use of our fuel management data.
The Vessel Insight infrastructure and the Kognifai ecosystem allows the company to have all its digital solutions in the same place and increase its opportunities for further digitalization.
