SAN DONATO MILANESE, Italy – Saipem says that it has won offshore drilling contracts with a combined value of around $400 million.

Two of the awards are in the Middle East. Saipem will provide two high-spec jackups to perform drilling and workover operations over a five-year period, starting in 4Q 2022. One is a new jackup, to be chartered from CIMC Group.

Eni has contracted the ultra-deepwater drillship Saipem 12000 for a six-month drilling campaign offshore West Africa, plus options for a further 10 months. Operations are due to start shortly, in continuity with previous activities.

These orders lift the value of Saipem’s new offshore drilling assignments so far this year to $750 million.
