Offshore staff
OSLO, Norway – TMC Compressors has secured a contract to supply the marine compressed air system for the FPSO destined for the Equinor-operated Bacalhau field in the presalt Santos basin offshore Brazil.
The package will consist of several large offshore screw compressors, air dryers, and filter systems.
The company did not disclose the value of the contract.
Hans Petter Tanum, TMC’s director of sales and business development, said: “This is a major FPSO and consequently this is one of our biggest stand-alone deliveries to an offshore project and the biggest ever to an FPSO.”
MODEC is designing and constructing the FPSO for the Bacalhau field, which is about 185 km (115 mi) off the coast of Ilhabela, São Paulo. Water depth is 2,050 m (6,726 ft).
The FPSO will be designed to produce and process up to 220,000 b/d of crude oil and up to 15 MMcm/d of gas, with a minimum storage capacity of 2 MMbbl of crude oil.
