BEL ships subsea valves to German North Sea gas import project

Contracted by SubseaDesign, BEL Valves has manufactured six subsea valves for a new pipeline in the German North Sea.

This takes gas from an offshore floating storage and regasification unit to a terminal at the port of Wilhelmshaven. The facilities are designed to import up to 20 Bcm of gas.

BEL Valves supplied API 6DSS 8-in. CL900 subsea gate valves for the pipeline end manifolds alongside the FSRU, all designed, assembled, tested and painted at the company’s headquarters on the River Tyne.
