OSLO, Norway -- Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) has approved a series of manned underwater operations on the Norwegian shelf in 2011. These relate to a joint operations agreement for underwater services between ExxonMobil, Gassco, and Statoil.

The planned activities include work on the Statfjord C, Balder, and Ringhorne offshore production facilities, and tie in of a gas pipeline from Troll A to Kollsnes on Norway’s west coast.

Underwater operations will be performed using the DSVSkandi Arctic and DSV Wellservicer, and the light diving vessel LDC Technip Sea Hunter. Technip Norway operates the three vessels.

ExxonMobil, through its executive operatorship, has submitted a separate application for its part of program.
