Technip to install Daniel Boone field flowlines

PARIS -- W&T Offshore has awarded Technip a contract for the Daniel Boone field development in the Gulf of Mexico. The field is in Green Canyon block 646 in 1,349 m (4,230 ft) water depth. It will be tied back to the Front Runner spar.
The contract covers engineering for the installation, welding, and installation of a 23-mi (37-km) production rigid flowline terminating at the spar with a flexible riser. Technip will also provide design, fabrication, and installation of an in-line structure and PLET, engineering for the installation, and installation of a 23-mi (37-km) umbilical, jumper, and flying leads.
The flowline has been welded at the group's spoolbase in Mobile, Alabama. The riser was fabricated at the company's flexible pipe plant in Le Trait, France. Offshore installation is scheduled for the second quarter using the deepwater pipelay vesselDeep Blue
First production from the field is expected in the second half of the year.
