Snorre subsea template to remain shut in
Investigations have revealed no connection between a well and the formation of a pit discovered last week at a subsea template at Snorre B in the Norwegian North Sea.
Last Thursday operator Statoil conducted an injection test in the well which is tied in to the template. The test confirmed that no communication with the pit.
Additionally, analysis of sediment samples showed no sign of hydrocarbon content, nor has any movement been observed in the pit near the subsea template. Statoil continues to monitor the template continuously via an ROV.
