Statoil signs subsea accord with OneSubsea, Aker Solutions

Statoil has signed master service agreements with Aker Solutions and OneSubsea Processing.

STAVANGER, Norway – Statoil has signed master service agreements (MSAs) with Aker Solutions and OneSubsea Processing.

These form the basis for potential new engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts forsubsea equipment.

Additionally, Statoil signed an EPC option agreement forsubsea production systems with OneSubsea, which includes framework agreements for subsea operations services and various add-ons.

Last year the operator and FMC Kongsberg Subsea signed an MSA leading to an EPC contract for theJohan Sverdrup project.

Vice president for projects Torger Rød said: “Statoil has cooperated closely with the suppliers on technology qualification, concept development and pre-engineering studies, and jointly we have delivered successful subsea projects.”

The focus will be on costs and efficiency in order to propel various currently marginal prospects and discoveries.
