TotalEnergies adds installation to TechnipFMC Girassol duties

TotalEnergies EP Angola has contracted TechnipFMC to install flexible pipes and associated subsea structures for the Girassol Life Extension project (GIR LIFEX) in Block 17 offshore Angola.

HOUSTON – TotalEnergies EP Angola has contracted TechnipFMC to install flexible pipes and associated subsea structures for the Girassol Life Extension project (GIR LIFEX) in Block 17 offshore Angola.

Last year TechnipFMC won an order to engineer, procure and supply subsea flowlines and connectors for the same development.

Jonathan Landes, president, Subsea at TechnipFMC, said, “We have good knowledge of this field, having built the subsea tree systems for the original Girassol development.”
