    Rovco charters Vroon vessel for North Sea wind farm services

    Rovco has chartered the VOS Star multipurpose DP support vessel from Vroon to support work on offshore wind farm projects.

    BRISTOL, UK — Rovco has chartered the VOS Star multipurpose DP support vessel from Vroon to support work on offshore wind farm projects.

    This year’s campaigns include subsea surveys on wind farms in the UK and Dutch North Sea.

    Rovco will mobilize a team to the vessel to operate its Seaeye Leopard work class ROV systems, equipped with technology powered by Vaarst.

    The team will perform subsea survey, maintenance and repair tasks, using equipment including Rovco’s SubSLAM X2 data collection system.

    The Glomar Worker is a 60-m multipurpose offshore DP2 vessel built in 2008 with an extensive rebuild in 2020. The vessel provides a combined deck space of 497 sq m and an SMST active heave compensated crane for multipurpose subsea operations. Combined with Rovco’s offshore capabilities, the Glomar Worker provides a platform for activities across the life cycle of offshore survey, construction, maintenance and remediation projects.
