Helix, Trendsetter team up to provide hydraulic intervention services

HOUSTON Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc. has joined Trendsetter Engineering Inc. in a global partnership to provide integrated hydraulic intervention services for subsea wells and flowlines.

The new partnership will integrate Trendsetter’s 15,0000-psi subsea tree injection manifold (15K STIM) and personnel into Helix’s fleet of well intervention vessels and equipment. Helix’s well intervention vessels include the Q4000, Q5000, Q7000, Seawell, Well Enhancer, and two chartered monohull vessels, the Siem Helix 1 and Siem Helix 2.

Jonathan Rourke, general manager of Helix’s Subsea Systems Intervention Group, said: “This partnership will expand Helix’s intervention capabilities to further provide cost-effective and efficient alternative solutions to our end clients, and further reduce financial risks.”

Mike Cargol, vice president of Rentals & Services for Trendsetter Engineering, said: “This collaboration with Helix allows us to streamline contracting, improve operational efficiency, and mitigate the operational and financial risks typically associated with hydraulic intervention operations.”
