HOUSTON – Baker Hughes has introduced engageSubsea remote services, an equipment inspection tool, support, and management platform designed to improve operational and capital productivity.

The service has been proven in live deployments, including at client sites on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Deployments are said to have delivered time to first-time fix improvements of 80%, and resolution time improvements of 69%, with average cost savings of 50%.

And with reduced travel and site visits, carbon emissions also fell by 22%.

According to the company, the service can be used in any location offshore or onshore location, even with a low bandwidth connection.

It can be applied for live status of offshore activity planning through remote management of asset maintenance.
