LUXEMBOURG Total E&P do Brasil has awarded Subsea 7 a contract for the Lapa North East field in the presalt Santos basin.

The field is about 300 km (186 mi) off the coast of the state of São Paulo, in 2,150 m (7,054 ft) water depth.

The work scope includes the transport, installation, and pre-commissioning of 35 km (22 mi) of flexible pipelines and 20 km (12 mi) of umbilical, connecting five wells to the FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba.

Project management and detailed engineering will start immediately at Subsea 7’s office in Rio de Janeiro. Offshore activities are due to begin in 4Q 2019.
