MUSCAT, Oman — Masirah Oil has contracted the Northern Offshore-operated jackup Energy Emerger for a multi-well campaign on the Yumna oil field in Block 50 offshore Oman.
Staring mid-March, the rig will drill and complete a new in-field well and perform workovers of two existing producers.
Masirah’s general manager Mike Hopkinson acknowledged the assistance of Oman’s Ministry of Energy and Minerals in helping the company to secure the rig “in a tight supply environment.”
