STAVANGER, Norway — Prosafe has been issued a letter of award, subject to final contract, to provide accommodation and construction support using the Safe Concordia semisubmersible accommodation vessel in the US Gulf of Mexico.
The duration of the contract commencing second-quarter/third-quarter 2023 is about one year. The contract linked to the award has an approximate value of US$33 million.
Additionally, BP Exploration Operating Co. Ltd. has exercised the first of four months of options through Dec. 21, 2022 for the charter of the Safe Zephyrus to continue providing gangway connected operations supporting the Seagull project at the ETAP central processing facility in the UK North Sea. The value of the one-month extension is about US$3.5 million.
