COVENTRY, UK – Siemens Energy has contracted Meggitt PLC to supply printed circuit heat exchangers (PCHE) for the Mero 3 FPSO vessel offshore Brazil.
Meggitt’s Heatric organization will manage the order.
Mero 3, to be named Marechal Duque de Caxias, is owned and operated by MISC bhd and will be installed at the Mero field in the Libra block of the Santos basin.
According to the company, PCHE technology delivers improved performance in gas compression and gas injection processes, with a lower size and weight compared with other heat exchanger solutions. This provides increased efficiency, flexibility, and lower operating costs.
