STAVANGER, Norway – CNOOC Petroleum Europe has agreed to charter the semisubmersible Safe Boreas from Prosafe for a campaign in the UK central North Sea.
The vessel will provide gangway-connected operations to support the Buzzard platform complex, under a 100-day contract due to start in mid-April. Estimated value excluding options is around $8.5 million.
The Safe Boreas’ dynamic position capability for the gangway connected work scope should provide flexibility in operation, Prosafe said.
