ULSTEINVIK, NorwayUlstein Verft has issued an update on the construction of the cable-lay vessel Nexans Aurora.

This month, the cable capstan has been installed, the paint process is ongoing, and the thrusters are about to be installed.

With a length of 149.9 m (491.8 ft), a beam of 31 m (102 ft) and a dead weight of 17,000 metric tons (18,739 tons), the Nexans Aurora is one of the largest vessels ever constructed at the shipyard.
