SINGAPOREKrisEnergy has issued an update on its Apsara oilfield development in Cambodia’s offshore block A.

Renovation and upgrading of the production barge continues at the Benoi yard and Gul drydock in Singapore.

New living quarters have been delivered and installed, along with the helideck and emergency diesel generator. The second and final drydock has been completed for all hull steelwork and final coatings.

Also in place are the three main power generation units, electrical switch room and emergency switch room, pedestal crane and the main electrical transformers.

Processing is under way of 1,200 sq km (463 sq mi) of 3D seismic acquired over the block during June and July. Around 200 sq km (77 sq mi) covered the Apsara development area with the remainder focused over a large prospective area in the southwest portion of the block.
