OSLO, Norway — Vattenfall has awarded Aker Solutions an EPCI contract for the HVDC offshore platform for the Norfolk Vanguard East wind farm in the southern UK North Sea.
It follows a recent award for the Norfolk Vanguard West project, part of the Norfolk Offshore Wind One development.
Aker Solutions will fabricate the topside in a joint venture with Drydocks World Dubai and the substructure at the group’s own yard in Verdal, western Norway.
The project remains subject to regulatory approvals and FID by Vattenfall.
Earlier this month, Vattenfall awarded Aker Solutions a "limited notice to proceed" contract for the Norfolk Vanguard West wind farm development offshore the coast of Norfolk, UK, Eastern England.
