FORNEBU, Norway – Vattenfall has selected the Aker Solutions and Siemens Energy consortium as the preferred bidder for the Norfolk offshore wind project in the UK southern North Sea.
Should Vattenfall proceed with the development, it will likely sanction an EPCI arrangement under which the consortium delivers HVDC converter platforms for the grid connection infrastructure.
The Norfolk wind zone, comprising the Norfolk Vanguard and Norfolk Boreas offshore wind farms, will have a planned installed capacity of 3.6 GW.
