Simply Blue Group has committed to a second offshore wind development in Northern Ireland.

CORK, Ireland — Simply Blue Group has committed to a second offshore wind development in Northern Ireland.

Olympic Offshore Wind will be a sister project to Nomadic Offshore Wind, which the company announced earlier this year. The two schemes off the coast of County Down will provide a combined capacity of up to 1.3 GW.

There will be an option for Olympic Offshore Wind to be developed in stages, with the project providing the local supply chain the opportunity to prepare for commercial-scale opportunities off Northern Ireland.
